Grounded 2 is a Game Pass day-one release. It launched on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on July 29, 2025 — the same day Early Access began — and remains available to subscribers.
Xbox Play Anywhere
Because the game ships on both Xbox Series X|S and the Xbox PC (Microsoft Store) version, it supports Xbox Play Anywhere: buy once, play on both, and keep your progress. This does not extend to the separate Steam version.
Game Preview on Xbox
On Xbox, Grounded 2 runs through the Game Preview program — Microsoft’s early-access label on console. That’s why the Xbox store listing is titled “Grounded 2 (Game Preview).” The PS5 version (August 11, 2026) is a standard store purchase, not a PS Plus title.
