Co-op basics
Grounded 2 supports online co-op for up to 4 players. You can play with friends on a shared world, each player keeping their own character progression. Solo play is fully supported — you’re never locked out of content.
Crossplay
Crossplay is enabled across PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S and PS5. When inviting friends, make sure crossplay is on even when playing between Steam and the Microsoft Store versions.
Local split-screen (not supported)
Grounded 2 does not offer local split-screen. To play together, every player needs their own device and their own copy of the game.
How to invite friends
Use the in-game multiplayer menu to invite friends from Steam, Xbox or PlayStation. Between PC storefronts, add friends by platform and keep crossplay enabled. The game also has Xbox Play Anywhere between Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC version, so those two share access.
